On the Bog and the Future

1) The completely unbiased Adam Kilgore will be blogging in these parts as close to full-time as he can manage from Atlanta this weekend. I've personally requested he ride down there in a VW bus with Hoya fans, Easter Bunny costumes and a crate full of bananas, which is what I would have done, but I don't think that's happening. Other Posties, possibly including a Metro staffer with close personal ties to the sports department, might also chime in.

2) Speaking of which, Hoya fans, can somebody please explain the banana thing to me? During Washington Post Live the other day, I issued a public entreaty for an e-mailed bananaphile explanation. None was received. Perhaps that speaks to our ratings. Also, whoever told me he knew how to get in touch with the Easter Bunny, please send me an e-mail. Thanks.

3) Twoeightnine aka Matt Johnson has brought the pepperoni with our newest Sports Bog t-shirts. These will certainly appear on live television at some point soon. The man knows how to make a t-shirt.

Go buy them here.

These are perhaps not quite as cool as his "WWTSM?" t-shirts, but still. Forever indebted, twoeightnine.

4) Thanks to my incessant caterwauling, Washington Post executive editor Len Downie will appear on Washington Post Live tomorrow, live. That ought to be interesting. I plan on grilling him as to why it's ok for the whole world to know his athletic preferences, but it's not ok for the whole world to know my political preferences. Maybe someone can make me a Len Downie t-shirt in advance.

5) Bullets Forever has posted a very, very, extensively very long Q&A with me, which we conducted many eons ago. If you're interested in seeing me rapidly namedrop a whole bunch of blogs and suck up to the Bros. Mottram, you should check it out.

6) And speaking of blogging Q&A's, several fine Nats bloggers previewed the season with DCist, in handy Q&A format.

7) Finally, am I to understand that FishbowlDC has publicly compared my awesome looks to those of Johnny Depp, Rick Schroder and John Wayne? Wait, are they making fun of me or not? Previously, my most common celebrity comparison, especially among teenaged Turinese Olympic security guards, was Moby. Second most common was Mike Wise. Frankly, I'm still not sure whether I'd rather be compared to Rick Schroder or Mike Wise.
