Weekend Blogging, and Cleveland Advice

To all who have asked:

Yes, I'm going to Cleveland. I'm trying to fly out there Sunday morning. Wish me luck on getting there on time. I'm returning Sunday night. That's called saving the Washington Post money right there. Then I'm going back at some point for Wednesday's game. Here's what you need to know about this plan:

1) I'm blogging all day Sunday. So even though you shouldn't be on a computer during a beautiful weekend afternoon, feel free to come over here and post copious comments. Especially if you're MJD and you're manning Deadspin over the weekend.

2) If any Wizards fans are going to the game, or the city, or live in Cleveland, please let me know, so I can find you and your funny signs and quirky ways.

3) If anyone has any idea for potential quirky playoff themes, involving either Cleveland or the Wiz, please let me know, either in comments or via e-mail.

4) Andray Blatche tells me that sneaker boutique in Cleveland I keep talking about is definitely closed. Sad. Are there other Cleveland stores with playoff ties I could potentially blog about? Are there bars with sandwiches named in honor of famous Cavs? Is there anything at all bloggable in the city of Cleveland? Lemme know, please.

It's too bad Steve Goff is an enemy of the Sports Bog, you could've used him as blogging material.

First good idea: Can you make a running count on how many times Antonio Daniels hits the floor every game?

i'd love to watch the blog show but i may be having a hangover from PTI. I have to watch PTI because while I wear my PTI hat, the station is staticy if I watch Comcast.

You should blog about the general malaise and the casually resigned despondency on the Cuyahoga.

And Cal Booth!!

Project Runway?

You should go to the Sportsman's Restaurant, which was shown in last years Witness commercials. They had a special Quadruple Double sandwich. Don't know if they're doing it again this year.

If you go to Sportsmans, wear your flak jacket.

Panini's is the place to be. Corned Beef, Fries, slaw...all on the same football size sandwich for about $5.25. Wash it down with some Great Lakes and you're good to go...

(Go Cavs!)

Quirky themes-in a word "you"!

I'm a huge Wizards fan, born and raised in Bethesda, MD. I'm currently at law school in Cleveland, and I could sure use some support (and possibly protection) when I'm rooting for the Wiz tomorrow against the Cavs. Two great bars to catch the action (that will have lots of Cavalier and Wizard fans) are Paninis and the Winking Lizard on Coventry Road in Cleveland Heights. If you have any other questions, holler back.
