Nats Cookies: Not the Cheapest

A reader points out that Adam Archuleta jerseys aren't the only sort-of D.C. sports items for sale. Washington Nationals cookies are currently available at a major discount on 24 cookies for $24.00. In fact, so are Orioles cookies. In fact, so are the cookies of virtually every Major League team, although some cookies--like those of the Phillies and the Mets are considerably cheaper. $14.82.

Almost enough cookies for a 25-man roster.

I can't think of a single reason in the world that Phillies and Mets cookies should be cheaper than Nats cookies. (And buy your Nationals cookie jars here, btw.) But I would like to take this opportunity to point out that Amazon is also offering a Nationals watch, helpfully affixed with the logo of a team slightly more successful than the Nationals. And also, that the Nationals might not have a job for Frank Robinson, but they'll go ahead and continue to sell Frank Robinson autographed baseballs.

I'm more appalled they are trying to sell autographed Robert Fick balls for $50+.

The local Wegmans has Nationals, Orioles, Mets, and Phillies stadium shelled peanuts for sale for $1.99 per bag. And those are large bags.

Maybe the watch came over in the Snelling trade.

They are probably putting it at $24 because that will equal the number of wins they'll have all season.

I bought a Nationals cookie for $1.25 at 7-Eleven Friday night and it was hard as a rock. For a second, I thought I was biting into a REAL baseball. I'll have to get back that $1.25 in Norman Chad's Couch Slouch giveaway.

not only are the cookies drastically reduced (44% off), they are made in China! Now that's a freshly baked cookie! Plus, customers that bought Washington Nationals cookies also bought the Warner's Women's Club Cotton Underwire Contour Bra
