This Morning in Bog

Clinton Portis guarantees that the Redskins will make the NFC Championship game, on BET, tomorrow night.

The most important thing about the Nats' weekend sweep? They no longer have the worst record in baseball. (By a half-game, over the Royals, but still.) The next-best thing? Nats fans chanting "overrated" at Miguel Cabrera. And The Hardball Times ranks the Nats as the 10th most valuable MLB franchise.

Hershey Bears, UD lacrosse. Great weekend all around.

Local bloggers with hopes of live blogging the lax Final Four might have to reassess after second-seeded Virginia, seventh-seeded Maryland and Navy all fall on Blax Sunday. That leaves local fans with just Georgetown, unless you count Johns Hopkins and UMBC as local, which I don't. On the other hand, after beating UVA for one of the biggest athletic results in school history, Delaware remains an incredibly awesome academic institution, capable of producing only the finest in blogging talent.

The Hershey Bears, minor-league friends to the Caps, march on to the Eastern finals. Ted Leonsis is "very proud." And the Peerless Prognosticator offers a first-person account, live from Hershey, that makes it all sound like quite a bit of fun. Caps bloggers group road trip to Hershey, anyone? Next up, either the Manchester Monarchs or the Providence Bruins (Manchester leads 3-2, game six is in Providence tonight).

Gilbertology has the latest on the Undrcrwn-Adidas Gil Zero collaboration. Also, Tom Knott vs. Etan Thomas, Part XVII. And thanks to your support, Devon McTavish is the runaway most popular celebrity from the Apple Cherry Peach Blossom Festival.

Where is the college softball tournament talk? The seeding is all messed up. We need discussion here, now.

Glad to see the Hens' triumph duly noted, Bog-style. Go UD!

I'll continue my own college softball talk.... The NCAA did mess up seeding. Among the mistakes, Virginia Tech will play Canisius in the first round and not Cal State Fullerton.

This caps blogger was already up in Hershey for the game last Friday night. If you love hating on refereeing, the AHL is the place for you!
