Halftime Summer League Reflections

It's halftime and the excitement is building. The sound system is playing "YMCA," and the Durango Hills YMCA day campers are going nuts.

On the court, Pecherov and second rounder Dominic McGuire were the first-half standouts. Pecherov had seven points, four rebounds, and a bizarre floating right-handed tear drop jump shot he hit while speeding leftward through the lane. Seriously, one of the odder shots I've seen. McGuire had 8 points on 3 of 4 shooting, and continued to look like an NBA player. Pinnock and Hall, the GW boys, both had five first-half points, and Caner-Medley had three. Nick Young managed four personal fouls. Ivan Carter managed a hot dog and a pizza. Tark has disappeared, but there's at least one Maloof brother sitting courtside.

The Wizards are either winning or losing, I can't exactly keep track. And Mike Hall is offering advice to the referees.

"That's moving," he just said as a screen was being set. "Can you do that?"

With these Vegas rules, you never know.
