This Day in Meathook: Major Sacrilege

The nation's Dmitri Young trade reportage is sadly lacking (as is this area's Kenner League reportage---why in the world didn't I go last night????), but I'll bring you several tid-bits nonetheless.

* The Sun-Sentinel reports that Dmitri Young helped originate "The Bounce," that joyous post-home-run celebration that is now de rigeur at both Major League and high school games everywhere. "Let's Bounce Tonight," the '99 Reds would say. I have a lot of trouble believing this was never done before 1999, but if anyone in the world should be allowed to say "Let's Bounce Tonight," it's Da Bouncy Meat Hook.

* Bugs and Cranks has photoshopped Dmitri Young's head onto the body of Christ. Following that link could be highly, highly offensive to Christians, so fair warning. I can't stop staring at it. It's more than a week old, but I've only just seen it, and I'll never forget it.

* A Minnesota columnist -- Minnesota being the one city rife with Young reportage -- says the Twins should be sellers, not buyers, and should therefore have no interest in Hooking any Meat.

* Dmitri Young used to have a tremendous vertical leap, as seen below.
