Charley Casserly Lands at George Mason

Fresh off a visit to Dallas Cowboys camp, former Redskins GM Charley Casserly has landed, of all places, at George Mason as "executive-in-residence and instructor of sport management." "Executive-in-residence" sounds like an excellent title for Vinny Cerrato, but that's another story.

"In addition to teaching courses and helping coordinate the intern program, Casserly will assist in career counseling for Sport Management (SPMT) program students," the press release says. Number one piece of career counseling: if you have a choice between drafting arguably the most exciting and marketable football player to enter the NFL in a decade, or drafting a defensive lineman, go for the former.

Maybe Gary Clark will finally get those season tickets to Mason basketball he's been trying to get for years.

Unemployed sounds like a better title for Vinny Cerrato.

I have a SPMT degree from Mason. I'm glad I got that before Casserly showed up and brought the whole thing to the ground.
