More Redskins Music

Jason LaCanfora, who proudly notes that he never reads my blog, noted yesterday (through a tipster) that Darnerien McCants was scheduled to have a performance at Blues Alley in Georgetown August 9th. It was canceled after he wound up with the Tiger-Cats in the CFL; here's what McCants--whose jersey is still for sale at Redskins Park--says about the CFL on his MySpace page:

if you looking for me you can find me in the land of the maple leaf gotta get that money ya dig...so im up here grinding...any looks on the scene up here for the music let me know whats good.

Did you know I once covered McCants's little sister when she played volleyball for Arundel High? Well, it's true. Anyhow, the official Web site is here, the MySpace page is here, the Rasaan J. video featuring Darnerien is below, Jason LaCanfora is no doubt cursing the continued demise of American sportswriting as I type, and the Redskins' application for "most current and former wide receivers with top-notch musical YouTube performances" has already been sent to Canton.
