Prostate News and Joey T
Prostate health is very important, and I don't ever want to joke about it for fear that karma would then decide to smite my prostate. That being said, the D.C. area appears to lead the league in sports-celebrity-prostate warnings.
If you recall, Karl Hobbs and the GW men's basketball coaching staff recorded one of the best PSAs ever, coming out in favor prostate checks, which also served as fodder for one of my first blog posts. Then I just got forwarded this e-mail:
The Washington Redskins are hosting a special prostate health screening event this Saturday at FedExField. We'll be screening several hundred DC-area men, some local politicians (tentative) and hosting Joe Theismann from 3-4 p.m. as well. You are invited to cover this event, highlighting for your viewers the importance of annual prostate health exams, since September is Prostate Health Awareness Month. We would even encourage you to get your own PSA blood test on camera, showing your viewers just how quick and painless this life-saving test can be.
That has BogTV written all over it!!!!!! Maybe.
In more MNF news, The Fingerman posts an extended analysis of whether Tony Kornheiser meant to say "Shana Tova" last night instead of "Mazel Tov." "Who doesn't love a good Rosh Hashana mystery?" Fingerman asks. If you're not Jewish, just move right along, I guess.
