Vegas's NFL Power Ratings
It's been a while, but this would be a good time to revisit Las Vegas Sports Consultants' NFL Power Ratings. Why?
The Redskins are 1-6 vs. Vegas's Top 15 teams. The Redskins are 5-1vs. Vegas's Bottom 15 teams. Their final three opponents are ranked 10th, 9th and 3rd. Unless the Cowboys clinch before Week 17, the Redskins will be dogs in their final three games.
Thus far, Washington is 4-3 as a home favorite, 1-0 as a road favorite and 1-4 as a road dog. Their next two appearances will be as road dogs. If the favorite had won in every Washington game this season, the Redskins would currently be 8-5.
LVSC has Washington 8th among NFC teams, behind fellow Wild Card strivers Minnesota and New Orleans.
Other power rankings: FoxSports agrees with 18th, ESPN.com says 17th, NFL.com says somewhere vaguely in the bottom third, CBSSports says 17th, Yoohoo!!!!!! says 16th/19th and NBCSports says 14th. Football Outsiders's stats say 15th, ahead of the Giants.
