Ovechkin Saluted by Hair Cuttery

The dangers of leaving town for a just never know when a hair cutting chain will stop by Caps practice with a cake for the best-paid athlete in D.C. history, an athlete so rich that he still pays $14 for his haircuts. From the e-mail I received from a Hair Cuttery PR manager:

Several Washington Capitals players visit our Ballston Commons location because it's so convenient to the practice arena, and it was great to see someone share that news with DC hockey fans.

To thank Ovechkin for his customer loyalty, we're going to present him with a giant cake...after his practice session at Ballston Commons. We borrowed your editor's math on how many haircuts he could buy with his new contract and wished him "8.857 Million Good Wishes." Thanks for the idea!

Sigh. You're welcome, Hair Cuttery PR Manager. The cake will be cut with all the dexterity of a master stylistic trim in 30 minutes; there's no way I'm getting from some strip mall Starbucks in Phoenix back to Kettler in 30 minutes.
