Devon McTavish Slips and Falls

Ok, it wasn't quite on the level of the Penguins' Marc-Andre Fleury's slidetastics, but Devon McTavish's slip-and-slide act last week in Toronto was good enough to make Goff's game story:

McTavish suffered another embarrassing moment midway through the opening half when, after chasing a clearance 40 yards to midfield, he stumbled on the wet artificial turf and crashed onto his chest, triggering a derisive roar from the crowd.

"I think I tripped over the white line," he said. "It was one of those days. My feet weren't up to par with my head."

Finally having watched the clip, I would point out four things: the crowd did indeed roar derisively and almost immediately, certainly the quickest soccer-related trip-and-roar situation I've ever viewed; McTavish got up laughing (which is probably the only way to get up); contrary to his claims, there wasn't really a white line at the spot where he tripped; and if the broadcast had shown this about 14 times in super slo-mo, I'm not sure anyone would have complained, even including Devon's sometimes-Bog-reading sister.
