Caron Doesn't Justify His Thug

Seriously, you still don't need to justify your thug?
Caron Butler recently filmed his Hollywood debut, that bit part in Forest Whitaker's "The Patriots" mentioned in these parts a few weeks ago. Blog person Alejandro de los Rios was on the set, and had a few words with Butler, who revealed that his previous acting experience was limited to "just flopping in the middle of games," which evidently means that his favorite actors are Anderson Varejao and Manu Ginobili.
But anyhow, some excerpts of this conversation also landed on the ESPN The Mag blog, in which he said that the last movie he saw was Sex and the City, to which he was asked about the small number of men who chose to see that particular film, to which he said this:
"Man, I ain't got to justify my thug....Al Bundy, man, Married with Children, I gotta do stuff like that."
Caron is quite fond of quoting Jay-Z, anti-Wiz diss tracks or no anti-Wiz diss-tracks, but I'm guessing this is one of the first published examples of an NBA player quoting Jay-Z to defend his chick flick habits.
Other June Caron Butler occasions that could be properly explained away by a refusal to justify his thug: his tears during the unveiling of the 3D Legacy learning center project in Racine, his scheduled appearance at this weekend's "Safeway Barbecue Battle XVI," and his headlining gig at the Positive Black Men Coalition & The Goodman League's joint 1st Annual Summer League Tip Off Gala the following weekend.

Does Caron himself not acknowledge his participation on Joe Budden's "Pump it Up" video?
