Morning Look: Ovechkin Day, the Video

If you've always wanted to watch Caps fans praise Alex Ovechkin over the instrumental soundtrack from a pop-infused "Stay Off Drugs"-style 1993-vintage soundtrack, this NHL.com video is your chance.

"It's always good when people love you and have fun with you," Ovechkin says in the site's recently released moving-pictured review of Alex Ovechkin Day. "I know you love me and I love you too guys."

(Please ignore the part where Ted Leonsis says no Washington athlete has been the MVP of a professional sports league since 1982. Really, you'll feel better.)

Anyhow, the memorable Ovechkin quote is "Life is good, yo," which seems apropos and once might have wound its way onto the Blog Show T-Shirt Shop. Since NHL.com's video embedder does strange things, the video is after the jump.
