Golfing Gift Bags

Official Tiger Tourney swag? Maui Jim!

Any amateur who was able to play in the Earl Woods Memorial Pro-Am on Wednesday should already consider himself pretty lucky rich. But if playing 18 with the likes of Ken Duke or John Senden wasn't reward enough, the pro-am participants also got a goodie bag stuffed fuller than Jason Gore's polo shirt. (Sadly, best-quote-in-the-tourney Jason Gore was just forced to withdraw with an injury after playing nine holes this morning.)

What was in the goodie bag, you're wondering? Wonder no more.

* Nike Duffle Bag

* One dozen Platinum One Golf Balls

* Fairway & Greene Polo

* Tiger Woods Nike Hat

* Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08 from EA Sports

* Photo from, including a photo with your foursome's pro

* Commemorative bag tag

* Skycaddie 2.5

* Maui Jim Sunglasses

* Rife Putter

* Money clip

No, really, these captains of D.C. industry and top-notch amateur golfers actually received a money clip.

As for the AT&T National pros themselves, they're treated to gifts of varying degrees of opulence at various PGA events. The Travelers, one pro's girlfriend told me, was particularly generous. Here, the pros were offered their choice of Maui Jim shades for both themselves and for a significant other. Media members, as far as I can tell, were not offered Maui Jim shades.
