Morning Look: Todd Collins is a Cover Boy

There are certain stock images of athletes posing that you've seen so many times your mind whirls right past them: the smiling face with hands resting loosely on hips, the scowling stare with hands gripping some sporting implement, the defiant glare with shirt off, tattoos screaming into the air.
The image seen above, though, was a new one to me: the confidently ironic grin, hand gripping a wine bottle as if it were a football, prepared to uncork a beauty.
Backup quarterback and first-string oenophile Todd Collins posed in many different and yet related ways on Sunday afternoon for Virginia Wine Lover magazine, whose cover he will grace for August's issue. There will be a Collins-and-wine profile, plus Collins's take on a case of various Virginia wines that the editors shipped to him in the offseason. If he writes of woody bouquets and notes of vanilla and cherry, you're dang right I'm going to Jim Zorn for comment.
Read more about Collins's hobby from last year's playoff run, and rest assured that if Roger Goodell ever demands that an exhibition game be played using a Chateauneuf du Pape rather than a pigskin, Washington will be in excellent shape.
