Watch Me Twitter

The team handball venue in Beijing, from where I'll be Twittering. (AP photo)

Here's a special treat for everyone who absolutely needs to know what I'm doing at every moment during the Olympics my dad: I now have a Twitter feed that will provide live links to all of my Beijing blog posts, in addition to frequent updates as to my whereabouts, like so:

* "Going to team handball venue."

* "Reading online stories about Icelandic team handball team team."

* "Teaching Thomas Boswell and Barry Svrluga how to play team handball in the Main Press Center."

* "Tackling Thomas Boswell into the file cabinet in the Washington Post office space."

* "Attempting to view censored Web sites."

* "Breaking for lunch."

* "Vomiting."

Many of our other Post blogs already have Twitter feeds; see, for example, TheSleuth, TheFix, WashBizBlog, TheFactChecker and TheTrail. The combined "followers" of all of these Twitter feeds does not come close to equaling the audience for a typical Nats game on MASN, but what the heck, you've got to start somewhere. So please, become a SportsBog Twitter follower, for all your breaking U.S. blog-based team handball news. And other stuff.

Will this comment section be as interesting as the last few?

Please tell me that team handball will be the new curling. I think the Icelandic men's team and the Swedish women's team could have massive potential.

Why sure it will, sitruc. Just follow these commenting rules:

Have at it.

I hope for as much team handball coverage as possible. Literally the brilliant child of basketball and soccer.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it: Keep Ryan O'Halloran out of jail.

Dan, make a new bog and bury the address in the middle of a Post story with big words to throw these idiots off the trail. We need to thin the herd a bit.

Where did those people come from Dan? You've got to have some way of checking referring sites. It definitely wasn't normal Bog readers.

Posted by: JDP | July 31, 2008 10:50 AM | Report abuse

Maybe Tom Knott started linking Dan in his blog.

I suspect Larry Michael sabotage.

Carrying forward from a few posts back: As others have noted, it was questionable for the Post to publish unauthorized photos of a celebrity's home (even if the Post was let off the hook after the fact). It was an invasion of privacy not to mention an action worthy of a supermarket tabloid rather than a once-illustrious newspaper.

More disappointing is the fact that numerous crude, racist, and offensive comments have been left intact here, despite the policy stating that entries containing inappropriate comments or material will be removed.

I'm betting most of those commenters on the Gilbert pool post do not know how to find MASN on their cable systems.

Posted by: Fingerman | July 31, 2008 12:09 PM | Report abuse

And have no idea there's a MASN2...

The Post, and the Bog, will get the readership, and the clicks, that they deserve.
