Beijing Embraces Hibachi Lifestyle

One Gilbert-Arenas-in-Beijing item not enough for the first week of the Olympics? Ok, here's No. 2. Philadelphia blogger and D.C. resident Enrico Campitelli Jr.. just arrived in Beijing, and within moments he was finding massive Arenas shrines in local Adidas stores. Before heading out in search of the Opening Ceremonies, he was kind enough to pass on these pics.
See Enrico's further work from Beijing at The 700 Level. And see Gilbert in Chinese-character Adidas ads at the Rocky Mountain News's Summer Olympics Blog.
And now, because I have nowhere else to put it, I bring you a quote from an Italian photo journalist from this morning's shuttle bus, who approached me as I was peacefully staring at my BlackBerry.
"Sixteen days left of torture," he said. "I've never been in jail, but I imagine this is what it's like in jail, crossing off the marks: one more day, one more day."
He clearly hasn't been to the Adidas store.

How is "Beijing embracing Hibachi lifestyle" when it's Adidas that is putting these props up in their shoe stores? It's called plain old marketing, my friend. Not any different from any other Adidas shoe store in the US.

Yes, please use the fanhouse links and not reference the 700 club. The last thing we need are the philly douche fans infiltrating your blog like the sorry CLE ones.
