Reese Hoffa's Parlor Trick
If you've looked at any coverage of Olympic shot putter Reese Hoffa within the past 12 months, you're probably seen his famous parlor trick. Why should this source be any different?
I spent 120 seconds or so with Hoffa a few months back, and he showed me his skills. Hoffa also happens to be quite skilled at the shot put; he breezed through last night's semifinals (East Coast time) and was a strong contender for this morning's finals. I was supposed to post this before the finals actually happened, but I failed. Anyhow, you can find out for yourself how he did, but here's his parlor trick.

I was really surprised by and disappointed by the performance of the Americans in the event. I thought a sweep was a realistic possibility. I hope it isn't a sign of things to come for the athletics team. I'm not too surprised by Hazel Clark and a few others being out.
