Yet Again, Folks Eat Scorpions on Sticks

The last time I mentioned those legendary Beijing treats that have, for generations, been eaten by Western men attempting to impress their girlfriends, I attempted to justify myself for covering ground that has been stampeded into dust by an American press corps that just can't get enough of Beijing's Donghuamen Market and its various Joe Rogan-approved offerings.

This time, I won't even make any bones about it. I'm counting on the prurient desire of American viewers to watch an Irish man they've never met eat various dead critters on sticks, even after they've already seen countless American sportswriters do similarly this month. As I wrote last time, and as Dave Barry wrote much better, the actual Chinese people were gathering around the crazy Irish people making typical "holy cow this guy is nuts!" faces.

Still and all, I enjoyed watching my Irish friend eat gross stuff, and maybe you will too. (If you want to see people eat gross stuff in Spanish, check this out.)

I admire Paul's gumption. His girlfriend, apparently, does not.
