Morning Look: Campbell and Cooley Take a Ride

(By Garth Vaughan - AP Photo/Disney)

I spent my bye week in Manhattan. Svrluga went to Charleston. Vinny Cerrato spent his bye week reading Redskins Insider; "I did read where one guy said I didn't comment on us getting rid of Leigh Torrence," Cerrato just said from his secure bunker Inside the Red Zone. "I've never commented on us getting rid of any players, so he needs to read up and do his homework."

(Later, a caller complimented the The Angelo Hall signing, and Cerrato replied "Why don't you call Jason La Canfora and tell him that.")

Anyhow, Chris Cooley and Jason Campbell spent at least part of their bye week in Orlando, as evidenced by this photo. The caption:

In this handout provided by Disney, Washington Redskins quarterback Jason Campbell, right, and Washington Redskins tight end Chris Cooley, left, take a ride aboard the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad roller coaster at the Magic Kingdom in Lake Buena Vista, Fla., Friday Nov. 7, 2008. Riding with the NFL star teammates are Cooley's wife, Christy, rear left, and Campbell's girlfriend Mercedes Lindsey, rear right.

It's such a great photo that I'll forgive the caption writer for spelling Mercedes Lindsay's name wrong. Read more on Cooley's blog.

And in more first couple of D.C. news, Thursday night's Knock Out Abuse boxing fundraiser downtown included a charity auction, which included an eight-person dinner date with Campbell and Lindsay. Winning bid? That would be $8,500. Guess they're not going to Waffle House.

You don't go to Disney World before the Super Bowl is over. It's like touching the Stanley Cup before you've ever won it; you just don't do that. Sorry to be such a Debbie Downer...it is Monday.

That said, the picture does make me feel warm and gooey inside.

Why am I completely confused about the first paragraph?

And why do the Redskins waste so much time harping about J-La. Grow up Vinny, you slouch.

Vinnie must have JLC blog or maybe his column set as his homepage. They seem to spend a lot of time taking "shots" at him.

vinnie, don't you have to pick someone up at the airport? in addition to being executive boot licker and radio propagandizer, he also picks up free agents at the airport...and carries their luggage! i've never seen any other "GM" pick a guy up at the airport, certainly not a cast off free agent, much less a first round draft pick. i guess the fact that they didn't send redskins 1 to pick him up shows how much they like the guy. or danny is trying to save on gas...

Looks like Campbell and Cooley are having a great time. 2 hot women with them doesn't hurt either. Glad they're enjoying there bye week.

Now to the nonsense part of the Skins. Vinny C since you love to read blogs on the Post, read this. Stop reading these blogs, stop your silly radio show and be a REAL GM! If you can't deal with criticism, then you should be stripped of your GM tag and shipped to the Lions where no one cares if you lose.

My god the Skins are 6-3 and all I see is everyone complaining about Leigh Torrence being cut. Keep up the good work Dan.
