Jason Fabini Was a Movie Star
While the mosquitoes buzz high in the air, sucking every ounce of blood out of the Hip Hip Hoorayride and raising some unsightly welts, there are still clever little moles scuttling around on the floor, finding little kernels of carefree fun.
Today, the mole was Homer McFanboy, which unearthed this incredible fact today: Jason Fabini, your probable new starting tackle, was an extra in "Made." He played a bodyguard.
A friend of a friend was friends with a friend of Vince Vaughn, or something like that, and so Fabini got to stare with Screech and Furio from the Sopranos. Just amazing reporting, here. The highlight:
"I find him hairy," [Mike] Sellers said, still laughing and trying to comprehend a world where Jason Fabini is an actor. "But intimidating? No, not at all."
If we asked you to name 10 guys in the Redskins locker room who could be in a Hollywood movie, would Jason Fabini be anywhere near your list?
"That would be a hell no," Sellers said.
So what you're saying is they cast the wrong guy for the part?
"I mean, he'd play a good bum," he said....
"The haters are coming out," Fabini said as he walked away laughing.
And so, to the list of "Zorn vs. Brooks" and "Cerrato vs. La Canfora" and "Zorn vs. Portis" and "Portis vs. Zorn" and "Zorn vs. Podium," we can now add the fateful words "Sellers vs. Fabini." And the Hoorayride continues to splinter, one straw at a time.
