Caps and Cooley at MMA Show

(Photos courtesy UWC)
Those good old days when Rod Langway hung around with the Hogs at D.C. area events? Here we go again. Ring-side at Saturday night's UWC 5 MMA event at George Mason were Alex Ovechkin and Chris Cooley, side-by-side, along with Donald Brashear, Nicklas Backstrom and Mike Green.
Langway also used to hang out with Boog Powell, which is fine, because you know who else wanted to be there Saturday night? Try Adam Dunn.
"I am a huge fan," Dunn told the Times's Thom Loverro. "If I was in Washington Saturday night, I would be there - guaranteed. That would be awesome."
Well, there will be more shows. Someone invite DeShawn Stevenson.

I was a couple of rows near these guys & they were all so accomodating to the fans.
Taking pics & chatting.
Cooley was the nicest guy - you would never think he was a Redskins (j/k).
& you would think Ovie would have a big head but he's so down to earth,u can't believe he's the best hockey player on the planet.
We are really lucky to have these guys as hometown reps.
btw - great event these MMA shows. You get a Vegas atmosphere with all the testosterone & silicone. Plus the show never ends - 4 hrs!

And just like good boys the Caps players all left at 11pm, two matches prior to the end of the event, to get their beauty sleep. Or in the case of Ovechkin, to get something else.

I vote that it be mandatory that the Caps attend a cage match before every game now. No wonder Alex was so riled up during the Penguins game Sunday!
