A Terp and Hoya Elite Eight Stat

Two redeeming nuggets in what has otherwise been a slightly disappointing spring for DMV basketball.

1) Old Dominion could become the first champion in the history of the Postseason Tournament. That's something that the snobs at UNC and Louisville will never be able to say.

2) No DMV team made the Sweet 16, but they still left a mark. By my (quick) count, only five non-Elite Eight teams have multiple wins against Elite Eight teams this season. Here's the list.:

Louisville 3
Connecticut 2
Georgetown 2
Kansas 2
Maryland 2
Pittsburgh 2
Texas 2
West Virginia 2

UPDATE: 3) (If you didn't see Marissa Coleman just lead Maryland back from 11 down late in the fourth quarter by going for 42 and 15....well, you should have been watching.)
