Brian Gilmore's Dunk Brings Down Bender's House

Tuesday night it was Jeff Teague, knocking down Maryland's tournament chances a bit with this particular bit of nastiness. American's Brian Gilmore might not have achieved Teague's level of difficulty, nor did he leap over a defender, nor was the game televised. Fans apparently didn't rush home to upload dunking highlights on YouTube. Yahoo! Sports is unlikely to mention it. But the dunk looked pretty serious, and unlike Teague, Gilmore is growing a mullet.
"A very noticeable mullet," teammate Bryce Simon pointed out.
"The mullet touches the back of his shirt," Nick Hendra added.
"And he likes it," Simon said. "Very, very proud of it, even though his girlfriend hates it."
Well, mullet and all, Gilmore got up. And here was the reaction inside Bender Arenas.
