Cooley Discusses Trade Rumors

I guess there are some sort of legitimate Jay Cutler-to-D.C. trade rumors. Maybe there are even legitimate Chris Cooley-to-Cleveland trade rumors, but this sure isn't one of them. In an entirely non-funny and non-Satirical Bleacher Report item bizarrely labeled "Humor" and "Satire," Cooley was off to Cleveland and Cutler to D.C. and Jason Campbell to Denver. That's the punch line. Get it? Oh, my stomach hurts from laughing.

Anyhow, Chris Cooley responded on his blog this morning the way any of us would respond to satirical humorous rumors that we would have to move to Cleveland: with profanity.

Trade talk is a weird wake up at 6:30. Obviously something was said between teams to cause this internet trading [bleep] storm. I would be pissed if I got my [bleep] shipped to Cleveland. But seriously, when the internet is the first news I hear about something this big I would hope it to be speculation. Really, it could have been a couple owners [bleeping] and joking around about guys and someone leaked it. No big deal.

Since this would potentially destroy the momentum that will one day lead all D.C. athletes to have a blog, I completely oppose. As for the less hilarious rumors, here's what Vinny Cerrato had to say about trading for Cutler, via the Washington Times: "We haven't talked to anyone."

Hmmmm. That sounds familiar. Wonder why?

Oh yeah, here's Vinny Cerrato on trading for Jason Taylor: "We haven't talked to anyone yet on anything." That was right before he traded for Jason Taylor. So maybe don't buy an extra Jason Campbell jersey just yet.

I'm still going to buy that extra Jason Campbell jersey if it comes with a FREE JASON TAYLOR JERSEY

If only Sarge could get a radio show where he could set the record straight and communicate directly with "Redskins Nation". I'm sure that would make everything better.

Isn't bleacherreport the wikipedia of sports reporting? I mean, anyone can go on there and just make crap up, right?

That "item" is about as trustworthy as the hamburglar.

I'm just surprised we haven't signed Marvin Harrisson yet.
