LeBron's Having a Party in D.C.

Third in a three-part Monday morning series on personalities your typical D.C. sports fan doesn't like much. Coach K, Sidney Crosby and LeBron are sort of the holy trinity of hate 'round here, no?

So Gilbert''s back, which is fine, and the Wiz will remain terrible, which is also fine. But a win on Thursday against the Cavs would go an awful long way toward redeeming this season of decay.

Um, check that, a win in a nationally televised Thursday night game, against a Cavs team that beat up on a Gilbert-less Wiz team two years in a row, the night after the star of that Cavs team is hosting a party in downtown D.C. in the same club where Damon Jones and DeShawn Stevenson reportedly exchanged words.....that would go an awful long way toward redeeming this season of decay.

(If you forgot about last April's party, D.C. Fab had the recap, with appearances from Carlos Rogers, Clinton Portis and Kevin Durant, plus the rumor about whatever happened between DeShawn and Damon Jones.)

I mean, seriously, LeBron? Back to The Park "for an exclusive mid-week soiree?" Partying "like Royalty," with a capital R? A vanity Web site with the url LB23ThePark.com? Are two Gilbert game-winning free throws in the final seconds really too much to ask for here?
