See Ovechkin Sing the Easterns Jingle
If you had asked me four days ago to name 10 developments that would be locked-and-loaded D.C. Sports Bog magic with no questions asked, "Alex Ovechkin singing the Eastern Motors" jingle would probably have been about seventh on the list, right ahead of "Gary Williams and Greivis Vasquez admit to being two of the 9,000 fans who watch every Nats broadcast on MASN" and right behind "Gilbert Arenas learn to curl while sampling various soft-ripening Northern Italian sheep cheeses."
But I might have underestimated the Ovechkin thing, for two reasons:
1) I didn't know how he pronounces "SUV," and;
2) I didn't know what beverage he would request during the shoot. Hint: it isn't Fanta.
Anyhow, now I know. And my life is better for knowing. Oh, and "Alexander Semin singing the Eastern Motors theme song" is my new No. 7.
More on all the Pens-Caps madness in the AM; but for now, you really ought to watch these other Easterns spots. Guys are keeping me in business. Thanks, as always, to the Easterns Blog.
