T.O.'s D.C. Appearance
Terrell Owens chats with actress Lea Thompson at the Alzheimer's Gala Wednesday night. (Marissa Newhall - The Washington Post via Reliable Source.)
Not one but two Washington Post blog items about T.O. being in D.C. for Alzheimer's last night. Key excerpts:
From the Reliable Source: He told us he's long helped out with his teammates' charities and other good works. "They just don't write about it," he said with a sly smile. "Nine times out of 10, if it's something positive and I'm involved, it's not going to get picked up."
From The League: Reflecting on his departure from the Dallas Cowboys, Owens admitted he's still "trying to get over the initial shock" of the sudden release. "It's tough, when you play there for like two years," he said. "You go into the last year of the contract, and you just signed an extension, you know, and you feel like you're going to end your career there. It was a situation where I was like, 'Wow, what happened?' "
