Ovechkin as a Pitchman and a Puck

Behold the two faces of Alex Ovechkin. Above, relatively clean-cut corporate pitchman, in a couple more photos from his new sponsorship deal with Energizer. Hot stuff for a D.C. athlete in these times, but fairly standard-issue corporate pitchman images.
And below, Ovechkin before Game 6 in Madison Square Garden. MSG runs these giant puck races between periods, in which a few schlubs from the stands don wide-body puck costumes and stumble around the rink, bobbing and weaving and falling their way through a race. So during his pre-game soccer ball routine, of course, there was No. 8, wearing a giant puck costume in an MSG back hallway. Yet again, NHL, you're welcome.
And sorry the photo isn't top-notch. And I know you want to talk about hockey, but just relax for a few hours. If Ovie can dress up like a giant puck a few hours before Game 6, you can get a little bit of work done this morning.

AW! I was so hoping that was a video, not a still photo! Yet it remains awesome.
Going to be a long afternoon, waiting for Game 7. LET'S GO CAPS!

"If Ovie can dress up like a giant puck a few hours before Game 6, you can get a little bit of work done this morning."
This coming from a man who writes the perfect time wasting blog and needs internet readers at work to justify his employment. :)
