Slapshot Has a Mohawk

Say this for the Caps: once they come up with a marketing scheme. they're not all that shy about carrying it out.

Didn't realize that they had borrowed the Rays mohawk marketing scheme as well as the cowbells (I pretty much follow baseball only).

they did mohawks last year, because Green has been doing playoff 'hawks since he was in the minors.
As for the cowbells, one guy had this giant cowbell and it caught on big time. The caps marketing department ran with it because fans love the cowbells.
So, no, neither has anything to do with the rays.

Cowbells have been around VC long before that one guy. He just happened to have been near one of the main cameras which helped the cowbells catch on.
And as someone who says follows baseball, you should be all too familiar with the fact that most teams in most sports use pretty much the same cheers anyway, so it doesn't really matter.

Maybe it's just me, but Slapshot looks like Cro-Magnon Slapshot in those pictures. It's all in the brow.
