Wrong Color, Mr. Mayor

Love the enthusiasm. Not sure about wearing his own name on the back, especially paired with Brent Johnson's number. Dude's injured, not dead. And I'm especially not sure about wearing white on Rock the Red day.

Of course, with the mess that's enveloped the mayor and his tickets for some other local franchise, maybe it's best if we don't look too closely here.

Can't get a soccer stadium done, can't wear the right color... Fenty=Wizards, no Fenty=Nationals!

My thoughts are against the TOS.

It was Fenty's fault.

Maybe Fenty should just avoid sports altogether. He pretty much can't go near RFK when United plays without putting himself in danger, there's the Nats ticket fiasco, he screwed up Rock The Red...I mean, what's next, publicly endorsing the work Vinny Cerrato has done in whatever his job is?

Epic fail! can't wait until PD gets ahold of this one.

Agree with RedBirdie -- Epic Fail

At least it is a Caps jersey. The fact that it is white is not too bad, but personalized jersey with his own name and an active player's number... that's down right foul. It looks like it has been signed on the number. I hope that's Johnson's signature and not his own.

Isn't that the jersey the Caps gave him, either at the Key to the City ceremony, or the day that ShaMo went to the City Council for the resolution thingy?

I have a hard time believing that he actually purchased a personalized jersey, rather than getting an Ovechkin off the rack.

Yes, I was going to say the same thing. The CAPS gave that jersey to him at the Key to the City ceremony. Johnson's status as a CAP was much more up in the air then too. Maybe they should have put a big fat zero on it.
