Alana Beard Raps

Alana Beard, by rights, should be one of the biggest blog superstars in D.C.: she's funny, accessible, smart, a legit superstar, and gives media members cool handshakes. But I gave up on Mystics coverage when I started chasing clicks like Gilbert chases 14-year old video gamers.

Well, I haven't heard anyone say this is a Women's Basketball Town yet, but maybe interest is rising enough to merit some blog coverage. Beard is fourth in the league in scoring. The Stix are 4-1, have the best record in the league, and are averaging more than 11,000 a game. (Verizon Center banner alert!) And Beard was recently named the Eastern Conference's player of the week.

Either way, this version of the Fresh Prince of Bel Air is awesome.
