Redskins Rookie's Plane is Canceled
In the Jim Zorn regime, even the injuries and absences are entertaining. At least during June OTAs.
Rookie LB Cody Glenn was absent today. "Missed a plane," Zorn said. "I don't know where he was, but he's just in remorse that he couldn't be here. He'll get it together. There's no fine. There's zero fine."
I asked Zorn whether he'd ever missed a plane; "Close," he said. "I never missed one, but close. These are young guys, and now they're having to do a lot of things on their own. So I'm glad things are happening [now]; if they are gonna happen, let's let them happen now. Cody knows it, and he wants to be here. It's not like he's trying to fool around or anything. In his case, his flight was canceled, and he couldn't get another flight out, so he was trying to make it back in at the last minute, but the flight was canceled."
LaRon Landry was, again, absent. I asked Zorn whether he's tried again to touch base with the safety. "I have not," Zorn said. "I just hope he continues to show. That's all. I hope, every day."
And right tackle and Bog fave Mike Williams left practice early. "He went to the ground one time on a block, and jammed his knee into the ground," Zorn said. "It just was sore. You know, it's a lot of beef to put on the ground so suddenly. We just took him off. I think he's gonna be fine."

I have never seen a better effort to join the CFL or Arena football than the one being provided by Cody Glenn.
