Nats Fans Pressuring Lerners

Ok, an online petition is one thing, but showing up in the front row of Miller Park with a "Sign Strasburg" sign is something else altogether. Good show, Wisconsin Nats Fans. Just please, keep the "DFA Kearns" sign in your bag.

(Thanks to Reader Andrew for the shot.)

I'm not used to the Nats winning this much.

You should have asked for points. Get a cut of the Strasburg deals.

If this Strasburg character wants $50 million then let him go unsigned. Have fun in Japan, hope you blow your arm out.

If we can get him for something reasonable, around $20 million, then sign him.

is there any indication that Strasburg is looking for $50M? the general consensus has it somewhere between $20-$30M. he's certainly not going to get $50M next year if the Padres draft him.

not signing Crow last year was a disgrace. not signing Strasburg would be a travesty and would really indicate that these people should not be owning/running a major league team.

DMD, the "indication that Strasburg is looking for $50M" is that Scott Boras told Peter Gammons of ESPN he's looking for $50M.

If you believe Tom Boswell, the Nats should get this done for under $15 mil - which would still clearly be the record for a #1 overall pick. Mark Prior got $10.5 mil.
