Ovechkin the DJ

There are perhaps sexier, or certainly better lit photos, from this recent Alex Ovechkin extravaganza. There are photos of Alex Semin with some members of the fairer sex, and of hockey players with bottles of strange liquids, and of Sergei Fedorov in a Tigers hat.

But I like this one. The bizarre lighting, with a hint of red. The "RUGBY" that's visible on his designer shirt, without any of the other words or context. The way you can't exactly tell if his eyes are opened or closed, can't exactly tell if he's asking for more noise or less, can't tell if he's just feeling the music or actually making the music or sending the music on some imaginary cross-continental journey of discovery and amazement.

As the write-up says, "In the midst of the party Ovechkin and Semin did dj-set and it was perfect."
