Zorn Goes Karate

While I was running around among the fans this morning, longtime Post Redskins photographer John McDonnell noticed yet another Jim Zorn quirk. (Last year, McDonnell had been the first to point out Zorn's sideline football gymnastics, which the coach calls his Worthless Tricks.)

Anyhow, the photograph above demonstrates today's Karate kick lessons better than any words could, though it turns out Zorn was actually helping Colt Brennan work on his follow-through.

"What was happening is, when he was throwing to his left, instead of setting up and driving towards his target, he was lifting and swinging his leg over," Zorn said. "And it was making him late, and also making him throw inaccurately."

Either way, it's a great looking image.
