Colt Brennan Discusses His Interception
Score another one for new media, as Tanner Cooley gets one of the best post-game interviews you'll ever see with a third-slash-fourth string NFL quarterback. Colt Brennan put on a brave face for the pack of writers, at least when I was around, but if you think his second preseason interception (against no touchdowns) wasn't bringing him down Saturday night, well, sober up.
"It's, like, embarrassing," Brennan said, describing what it feels like to throw an NFL interception. "It's kind of like when you trip and fall when you're walking, and everyone's like, 'I saw that,'. You're like walking, all cool, and you do that stumble and everyone turns [to] figure out what's wrong with that guy. You kind of catch yourself and try to not make it look bad. That's exactly the feeling it is. Just utter embarrassment....Last year I threw nothing but touchdowns. This year I've thrown nothing but picks. I mean, that's football. That's the way the cookie crumbles....That's football. I've got two more games."
(Quotes transcribed so I won't have to bother to do so when someone demands I take this video down sometime on Monday.)
