Wiz game draws celebrities, weird sleeves

Hey, all you people who've been bugging me for more Wiz and Caps and less Redskins radio transcriptions better be happy. And better be hitting refresh.

Anyhow, one of the most jarring aspects of Wednesday night's Wiz game was undoubtedly the one-armed sleeves worn by Mike Miller and Antawn Jamison.

"Pretty sure the Wizards lead the league in asymmetrical undershirts," twoeightnine observed.

"Antawn Jamison looks like a mummy," Michael Lee noted.

"In solidarity with Tawn, intern Ken cut his Jahidi thong in half. We support your rite 2 murder fruit & keep 1 appendage warm !!!" the Wizznutzz wrote. Don't worry, no one understands.

Anyhow, when you weren't staring at the white man with the black sleeve and the black man with the white sleeve, maybe you noted some of the celebrities who were in the house. Not real celebrities, maybe, but D.C. sports celebrities, at least.

Alex Ovechkin, Nicklas Backstrom and Mike Green, who gets the award for hanging out with the most D.C. athletes from the most different sports.

Albert Haynesworth, who was wearing a walking boot and apparently nearly got tangled up with Darnell Jackson. No, Haynesworth did not take a knee.

Ryan Zimmerman, Craig Stammen and John Lannan.

Joe Flacco and his eyebrows.

Rock Cartwright, Brian Orakpo, Rocky McIntosh and London Fletcher, who, alarmingly, is a Cavs fan. McIntosh at least represented for the linebackers, writing "Go wizards that's the way you stick it to the Cavs....."

Greivis Vasquez, who also supported the proper team. "Big W for the wizards.. Way to get it done..." he wrote.

Ben Olsen, who was silent and invisible.

I mean, you could argue that the heart and soul of all five D.C. sports teams showed up to this game: Fletcher, Zimmerman, Jamison, Olsen and Ovechkin, with apologies to Brooks Laich, I suppose.

Craig Stammen gets no love. He's in between Zimmerman and Lannan.

Isn't that Landry with Orakpo?

I comment on the bog. Isn't that big time enough for my picture to be taken and get a mention in this post?

Green is to Zim's right, as well.

FYI, Hasineworth accidentally ended up next to Flacco.

Quite a crowd.

i heard carlos rodgers was supposed to be in that pix w/ orakpo, but the cameraman put a double move on him and he fell out of the shot...

That's Andre Woodson next to Orakpo I believe, and Rock Cartwright next to Flacco.

Saw Greg Monroe there as well.

He plays at a actual DC team "georgetown" unlike the MD player you mentioned.

Monroe must have thought the scoreboard was broken....he was under the impression first team to 46 wins.

Didn't Miller have Shoulder Injury, too?

I was under the impression that the weird sleeves for AJ and MM were some sort of compression deal b/c of theri shoulder injuries.

Ahh, the pics got changed up since I posted.

I wonder if the Caps reminded them all they were the only team worth a crap.

Andre Woodson is SOOO HOT. If the Skins lose to the Cowboys, Woodson should play a game. ;)

Both had shoulder issues, VTDuffman. I'm not sure Miller actually wears any compression clothing on it though. He was definitely wearing a cut-up shirt.

Looks like Rutger Hauer there in front of Ovi and Nick in the first pic. But he's gone in the last one, where Ovi is cleaning up his sideburns with the Norelco.
