Schottenheimer on Cerrato

The news that Daniel Snyder and Vinny Cerrato were scouting Colt McCoy together this fall--reported by my colleague Jason Reid-- obviously raised a lot of eyebrows locally. Turns out some national observers were also struck by this news, including one Marty Schottenheimer, who like Cerrato, now lists "radio host" among his duties.

"When you send Dan [Snyder] out along with Vinny Cerrato, Vinny's going to tell him whatever he thinks Dan wants to hear," Schottenheimer said Thursday on "The Red Zone," the SIRIUS NFL show he hosts along with Solomon Wilcots. "Dan, God love him, I don't know that the analysis and evaluation of quarterbacks is necessarily down his alley."

Schottenheimer and Cerrato obviously have a shared past, with the former (briefly) helping usher the latter out of the picture at Redskins Park. And it sounds like Schottenheimer's feelings about Cerrato have not improved with time.

"I've said for a long time, in my opinion the problem down there--obviously it starts at the top with Dan--but [the problem] is Cerrato," Schottenheimer said Thursday. "I don't particularly respect the guy. He and I had our issues when we were there. Basically what he said was, 'Marty, Dan may be listening to you during the preseason,' he says. 'But wait until I get up in the owner's box during the regular season, and then we'll see who Dan listens to.'

"Now how's that? How's that? And of course, he was gone within the week but re-hired shortly after I departed. So now, Dan, he's made his choice [some] time ago, but I'm not a big fan of Cerrato and his work."

Of course, Schottenheimer also wound up as the only coach hired by Snyder with an (overall) record of .500 or better.

Now that Vinny's hindsight is not 20/20, we see the true fool he is and the trash he's put on the field this season. With Vinny scouting QB's for the draft, this only spells impending doom for our once proud franchise. He's not going anywhere folks. We could 3-13 next year and he'll still be yapping at Snyder's nutts while ruining our Sundays.

It's funny that no one remembers how Vinny was the one who decided to show Brad Johnson the door, and then stuck Marty with Tony Banks and Kent Graham and Marty still went 8-8 with a roster of crap. That team actually was a quarterback away from the playoffs.

I'm getting a real bad feeling that Vinnie ain't going anywhere and will be seated warmly on Santa Snyder's lap all the way through, and beyond, this holiday season. Anyone out there work for the IRS? If so, maybe you'll spend a little extra time reviewing Vinnie's past tax returns.

I since they are scouting qb's together I guess Vinny will be back and Campbell gone looks like another year of rebuilding but not rebuilding..see ya next year or will next year be this year

I have nothing new to add about the failures, incompetencies and bully boy tactics that Cerrato is famous for. Of course Snyder is worse for not surrounding himself with no-nonsense non Yesmen NFL executives. I'm just looking forward to the barrage of anti snyderrato comments . Same ole, same ole. There is no quarterback in this draft that will be a big time star. The only one who had a chance was Bradford, but he's now dislocated his shoulder twice in 3 months.

Campbell has always been the right guy, they just needed an offensive line and a RB with some idea of what it looks like to drive straight at a crease, not dance around in the backfield looking for 3 highway-lanes worth of room (sorry CP has been done for 2 years). I'll enjoy watching Campbell go to the playoffs next year in a Carolina uniform.

I agree with Marty that Vinny is a big part of the problem with the Redskins, but remember that Marty is the coach who got fired after leading his team to a 13-3 record. He hasn't gotten a sniff of a head coaching job since either. AJ Smith with the Chargers couldn't get along with him either because he always wanted things his way.

This is depressing news if you were hoping that real organizational change was likely to happen this year. Oh well! I was wondering what the 'Skins would look like next year IF they kept the roster relatively intact except with a real honest to goodness professional GM. We will never know.

It's all just so sad. Until Vinny goes, we will suck. It's that simple. Why fix the O line when we can draft a 2nd tier QB instead with that first pick?

Here we go again... we might as well have Ryan Leaf starting and Tim Couch as the backup. With Vinny at the helm, there's no telling how bad our next QB will be.

Without Joe Gibbs helping him out, we don't have a prayer. I hope Sherm Lewis is in the room on draft day.

Vinny again... another year of cluelessness...I can't believe snyder.. the whole NFL is using this front office as what not to do for a professional organization... the New Orleans Saints game has gone into the history books already, of what not to do in a game none of the negatives would have occured if that kick was made (fumble and int) it was a clear emotional drop by the team same as in the seattle game ... If vinny has this team... and picks again... its snyder way of saying F U to the league and to the Skins fans

My best friend is a Lions' fan, we use to have great laughs over the torture that is was to be a Lions' fan, especially during the Millen years. Now as a Skins fan, he is laughing at me.....I now know what it is like to be a Lions' fan now. Ignorant owner, incompetent GM, half the team unmotivated.....

If Marty was allowed to build his own roster without the input of Cerrato before he took over the team, there is no telling how good the Skins could've been.

Marty has never gotten a fair shake from owners and / or GM's b/c of his abrasive personality.

Reminds me of the situation with manager Davey Johnson with the O's. He was fired after the O's two consecutive playoff seasons in the late 90's. We'll never know how good the O's would've been if he had stayed.

Dear Dan Snyder, anyone who keeps Vinnie Cerrato around is either a Complete fool or his Gay Lover! One thing for sure if Jason Campbell goes then a lot of Redskins Fans may see a different light! Jason Campbell would be a 8 with 10 being the highest if he only had some blocking! When passing the blame for this season, the blame should be on your shoulders Dan!

Keeping Vinnie will show us all you don't seek input, all you want is someone to sniff your butt! Get rid of every QB except Jason, then pick up Michael Vick! Matter of Fact Michael Vick would be better then anyone because coming from Atlanta he's use to playing without a "A" Class offensive line! "A" being good the Redskins Offensive Line would be rate a "D-" for this years performance! Redskins front office would be given a "F" for failing the Fans and making piss-poor choices!

Why do Snyder & Cerrato keep looking at QBs. They are sitting at the start line of the Baja 1000 and checking out a Ferrari. It might get to the finish but it'll be ugly and broke. They need to be looking at Trucks (Linemen, aka HOGS) to hitch the Ferrari up to.

i've said it numerous times before...the reason snyder hasn't fired cerrato is because cerrato has some dirt on snyder. it could possibly stem from the mishap w/ arrington's contract. snyder must've utilized some deceptive tactics to short change arrington then cerrato in his infinite scheming plotted a way for snyder to come out smelling like a bed of roses while the nfl punished arrington's agent. remember, arrington like portis is/was snyder's boy. whatever the case, cerrato is blackmailing snyder in order to have some control over the team and stay on the payroll. i'm certainly not one to defend snyder because i hate what he's done to the franchise but i hate cerrato worst. as a black man, i'd rather shake hands and be friends w/ someone from the kkk than take a liking to cerrato....it's that deep y'all!!!!

In other news, Matt Millen is an idiot.

No ifs, ands, or buts about it, the guy is not smart.

I think his brain capacity was maxed out at the point when he learned how to tackle the guy with the ball.

Beyond that, he's in way over his head. As bad as Snyderatto is, I cannot imagine having such an inept, ignorant, and generally stupid GM as Matt Millen.

He's an embarrassment to the NFL.
Cut him from the booth, or at least all access to microphones. What an idiot.

Well, it looks like the ONLY way cerrato will go away is if the Skins win a bunch of the games the rest of the season - THEN they pick up McCoy and THEN we watch the Skins do horribly NEXT year and then he'll be gone AFTER NEXT SEASON.

*sigh*

I suppose expecting anything different from Snyderato makes us fans the foolish ones. It seems clear that once again when it is apparent to almost everyone - fans, analysts, former players and coaches, that the failed draft strategies have been a disaster, we still have DUMB and DUMBER in charge who can't seem to understand that it all starts with the line. Prepare yourselves for years of horrific disappointing Redskin teams if Cerrato is not shown the door. Oh, and for those fans who say they will not "abandon" the Skins out of loyalty - you all are exactly the reason Snyder feels like he can pursue his disastrous strategy year after year.

The coach only said from a professional view point what we as fans have known as ..well....fans. Those two could have stared in the movie."Dumb, and Dumber..who is the dumber one is the only question.
Dan should keep the present coaching situation if they all will work in this way.
The offense has gotten much better, as has the defense. The big thing is no top coach
will consider working for Snyder..period.
It is not about the money..it is about Vinnie being there, and Danny`s interference. Also..top coaches have their choice of jobs..with this owners track record..there is little chance of winning..so they will laugh and move on.
OF course the first thing we need is a great GM who really knows how to evaluate talent.

"I've said for a long time, in my opinion the problem down there--obviously it starts at the top with Dan--but [the problem] is Cerrato," Schottenheimer said Thursday.

With all due respect to coach Shotty, I disagree.

"When you send Dan [Snyder] out along with Vinny Cerrato, Vinny's going to tell him whatever he thinks Dan wants to hear,"

This statement right here highlights the bigger problem and explains why I laugh when anyone expects Vinnie to ever lose his job. Through a combination of arrogance and ignorance, Dan Snyder thinks that he is qualified to run the personnel side of a football team. Vinnie lets him do that. There's only 1 time in the history of the Dan Snyder ownership where the Redskins resembled a competent franchise, and that was quickly ended because Dan "wasn't having fun anymore".

Vinnie is just an enabler for the real problem, Dan Snyder's mistaken belief that he is the most qualified football executive on the planet. Until Dan recognizes his limitations, Vinnie will keep his job and absolutely nothing about this franchise will change.

Good luck with that.....

I'm an admirer of Schottenheimer, but I have to admit owners find him difficult to work with, and I'm not just talking about Snyder. Marty's a control freak, and that apparently became an issue both in Cleveland and San Diego. Vinny may be an idiot, but I wouldn't necessarily base my opinion on Schottenheimer.

Posted by: Samson151 | December 11, 2009 9:13 AM | Report abuse

Maybe a wealthy Skins supporter could lure Cerrato away from the Skins with a bogus high-paying job, then fire him after Snyder hires a decent GM to replace VC. OK, it's unrealistic but isn't it the only hope we have of getting a professional GM to run this team? Sad. Of course, as an effective GM, it would take someone like Parcels, someone with the backbone to stand up to Snyder. (Not that I would want Parcels, tho.)

Posted by: chris_zz | December 11, 2009 9:16 AM | Report abuse

"Of course, Schottenheimer also wound up as the only coach hired by Snyder with a record of .500 or better."

And HIS record here was 8-8, thus that really shows how inept Dan is at choosing coaches...and free agents. Dan also picked Joe Gibbs, who despite fans here loving what he did in the 1980's and never blame him for anything, lost more games than he won the 2nd time around. Gibbs also picked most everyone that folk blamed for last weeks loss. Campbell was picked by Gibbs (used 3 picks too). Champ Bailey was traded by Gibbs. How did that affect last weeks loss and others? Long pass plays. Gibbs picked the kicker (that just got cut). Gibbs picked Landry, who got beat twice. And Gibbs picked Sellers, who fumbled in overtime.

So blame Dan for picking losers like Vinny and losers like Gibbs II and losers like Zorn. Marty has a point, and I've expanded on another angle of why they are losing today.

Posted by: kedavis | December 11, 2009 9:29 AM | Report abuse

Vinny = the hypnotoad from Futurama. Clausen is a dumb loser, McCoy is a spread system guy that wins w/ overwhelming talent on his team, same w/ Bradford who will never be the same after the throwing shoulder injury. If the stud OL isn't there, then trade down address it. Hopefully pick up Pike or Locker if he comes out; late first early second along w/ a back.

Posted by: Realness1 | December 11, 2009 9:36 AM | Report abuse

Once the players accepted Marty's approach, they won their last 5 games. They would have had that MO, a solid QB and a top 5 running back going into the next year. Dan ran them all out of town. It's been down hill ever since. And, don't give me any Gibbs v2 jive. He came for the $s and his record was no better than the BallCoach. Marty was getting it done and they fired him.

When you put these two brilliant minds together, Snyders and Cerratos, you get 10 years of failure and embarressment.

The slight success the team has had the last few weeks is the worst thing that could happen. It leads Snyder to think that he and his buddy are finally on the right track when in fact that all it means is business as usual.

I wasn't a big fan of Schottenheimer when he was hired by Washington - thought he was a "good" coach and was NOT displeased with the choice. I became a fan while I saw what he did in his one season in DC with the little talent he had - all while he was also able to straighten out the cap mess. Became an even bigger fan when he was kicked to the curb by Snyder. He may be cranky, but one thing is that his teams virtually always came to play and play fundamentally sound football (the playoff loss in SD is the one time I can really say his team lost composure). As for being a control freak, why wouldn't he? He's smart enough to know that his butt is on the line, so why would you be willing to have your performance be based on other people's decisions especially those whose ability you don't respect? Which is why most "name" coaches want a say in personnel decisions (if not the GM title as well). For me the guy may never have gotten to a Super Bowl, but the guy does know how to coach and does know talent better than anyone that has been with the organization since Snyder has owned the team and that includes Joe Gibbs part II. As for him not being hired since SD - he's in his 60's and coaching is now considered a young man's game. Despite all that, I'd still hire the guy if I wanted a team turned around.

sanantonioredskin,

Why Yes, Those Super Bowl trophies of Marty's are right beside:

All of Herm Edwards' Super Bowl trophies

Tony Dungy's Tampa Bay Super Bowl trophy

Jon Gruden's Oakland Raiders Super Bowl trophy

Bill Belichik's Cleveland Super Bowl trophies [not even CLOSE TO an AFC Title game...]

Bill Parcells' New England Super Bowl trophies [Lost SB]

Bill Parcells' New York Jets Super Bowl trophies [not even TO AFC Title game]

Bill Parcells' Dallas Super Bowl trophies [Bwahahahahaha not even a playoff WIN]

Norv Turner's Washington Super Bowl trophies [too painful]

Norv Turner's Raiders Super Bowl Trophies [Bwahahahahaha, right...]

Jimmy Johnson's Miami Dolphins Super Bowl trophies [noticing a trend yet, guy?]

Joe Gibbs' Super Bowl trophies from his second stint in DC [Sorry, but you MADE me go there]

Andy Reid's Philadelphia Super Bowl trophies [juuuuuuuuuust a bit outside....so close and yet so far]

Remember, not even Vince Lombardi won a SB here in just ONE season...and as I recall he was a pretty good coach, right?

I think the league even named SOMETHING after him...I can't quite recall what that was though...

...oh yeah it was THE FREAKIN' SUPER BOWL TROPHY!!!!!

so before you tool out about Marty too much, you MIGHT just want to think about all THAT for a little bit.

Finding the right QB is definitely work for skilled people--even they get it wrong. But Vinnie and Dan? Oh my. Can't go deep? Struggles under pressure? Doesn't matter, he used the right fork at dinner and suggested an excellent Cab with the meal.

The fact that Cerrato is scouting players for next years draft is a joke. He needs to be held ACCOUNTABLE for his work with this team throughout his tenure here. The fact that he's scouting QB's with first round grades is ridiculous! FIRE this MORON!!!!!!!!!! This team desperatly needs Offensive lineman, and good ones are hard to find after round 2. We have a QB who has done a decent job behind an awful line. Imagine if he had pass protection and a running game to back him up. If they draft a Qb and let JC go, they will regret it. There isn't a QB in the world who could win week in and week out without protection! This team has so many needs. OL, CB, LB, HB, FS and K.They are also aging fast at other positions. QB should be the least of thier worries(unless it's a backup). I'm sick of seeing this team develop talent, only to let them go and play great for other teams. This is a team sport and team chemistry is so important. No team can win with constant change. Players need a reason to play hard for one another and a family atmosphere is a key component to this. Joe Gibbs knows this and that's why the Skins got to the playoffs twice in four years with him as coach in this decade. This owner is blind and ignorant and has learned nothing over the last 10 years. He is a crude business man who would sell his soul to make a buck, and probably already has.

He is a hard worker,a great man and a HOF coach who sacrificed so much so that all of us could be proud to call ourselves Redskin fans.

Marty's revelations are all the more reason why no serious coach will ever come to the Skins while the Danny/Vinnie show is running. Every serious commentator and knowledgeable football pundit has said that the Skins will stink until a) Dan gets out of the front office, b) fires Vinnie, c) hires a real GM. Skins's fans are idiots to continue to support this team under the current situation.

New flash for "cwelch1934" Marty was the coach it should have been his way.

I think every knowledgeable Skins' fan wants the same things to happen:

1) Cerrato is fired, and replaced with a talented GM who is given true authority;
2) Snyder distances himself from X's and O's-related work (scouting, etc.) and focuses solely on the business side.

If those two things happen, we'll be on the road to recovery. If Cerrato is around next year, I'll spend my Sundays jogging.

I'm starting to get the feeling that Zorn might stick around for another season too.

Snyder sure has DC under his thumb with this one. I'd be interested if the Sports Blog can go out in the field and check with other GM's and football guys around the league to see what they think of Cerrato and his skills as the Skins GM. I really think Skins fans hate the guy, but are now deep down into echo chamber land with the rants about Cerrato. Maybe some feedback from what the guy's reputation REALLY is around the league would help prove to DC that their team is being run by Bozo The Clown (sorry Bozo). Right now, Snyder isn't losing money, and the Skins are still near the cusp, mind you, so he probably thinks all of the folks out there calling for Cerrato's head are just the normal sour grapes crowd, whining cry babies who are wrong about his boy. Anti-Cerrato folks need some ammo in their fight to run the knee pad boy out of town. See how quick he gets a job in football (other than towel boy or helping Joe Gibbs convert Catholics) if he's run out. Seriously, it makes me wonder how Snyder made so much dough in the private sector, must be pretty easy to do.

This guy and this article are examples of what's making it hard to be a skins fan these days. The simple fact that cerrato is involved at any decision at this point is rediculous. We have not been a good football team for a while. Yes, there was the brief reprieve while Gibbs was here but for the most part we have been a joke. It's obvious that Snyder has no idea what he's doing yet we continue to support him while the rest of the NFL and fans laugh at us. I'm ashamed to be a skins fan right now.

For the people who feel that Jason Campbell is some sort of starting caliber QB, bless your heart. Yeah he's a likeable guy who was handed a raw deal. Yes he has amazing arm strength and athletic ability but he makes horrible decisions and is not a winner. It's all about W's and L's and the past 5 years speak for themselves. Take a look back at the Detroit game every time JC has a game like the saints. How many 3 td games does brees, Brady, manning or even Flacco have this year? We have had such mediocre to poor QB play that we get excited when someone is decent. Maybe Campbell could had been good in the right situation but we don't have that. Michael vick is exactly what we need... (see skins past qb's since... theisman?)

Good grief, can this travesty get any worse?

Posted by: Pepper5 | December 11, 2009 11:55 PM | Report abuse

You hope it doesn't go that way but picture Campbell winning a super bowl with the Raiders next year. A local rap group makes a video of Cerrato with Colt and Colt grinding on his hips. Cerrato is wearing a cowboy hat (because he's really working for Jerry Jones) and loving the feel of a pair of colts on his hip. Campbell walks by and dismisses him as the video goes on to highlight reel his season.

AnthonyMix, that fact that you're "ashamed" to be a skins fan makes you pretty fairweather. and the bullshyt you put on the later part of your post about campbell makes you an idiot. your biggest mistake is comparing campbell to any other qb in the league especially the onces that are winning simply because they have the right support around them. flacco for instance is more of a game manager. if you watch any ravens game, you'll notice that most of the work is done by magahee, rice and mcclain. flacco is the recipient of defenses coming up to stop the run and utilizing play action. just look what happened when we played the ravens last season and rogers got burned in the 4th qtr. manning, brady and brees have the distinct privilege of working under the same o system which allows them to become more consistent. you say in his 5th year, campbell isn't a winner but this is only his 3 year as a starter so we already know that you don't know shyt about football. casually observing the game doesn't mean squat but when you analyze every facet of a team and not just the qb, then...maybe then people will assume you know what you're talking about.

Snyder is wasting not only money, but something more valuable: TIME.

He should cut all ties w/ Vinny, he's wasting time for all of us. To hear that
Vinny is already scouting for next year
means that Snyder just don't get it yet.

Stop wasting time Dan. We each only have so many seasons of Redskins football in our lives. While Dan, myself and most of us can figure out how to recoup money, NONE of us has figured out how to recoup TIME. Stop wasting TIME and money Mr. Snyder.!

it's gotten bad with no end in sight. it's now to the point where people are starting to blame anyone and everyone. make no mistake this falls squarely on cerratos lap. joe gibbs may have built most of this squad but talent is not the problem. a constant turnover in scheme and playbook coupled with the feeling of no job security no matter how well you perform has led to a lack in motivation. even though the skins are playing with heart right now, they've forgotten how to finish and coach zorn has never been in a posistion to lead men through a situation like this. zorn was a good hire as an offensive coordinator but to put him in a coaches posistion and expect good results this early was a bad front office move. now the only thing he wanted to do (call plays) has been taken away. so bottom line if you want to kill a snake go for the head

Vinny is still there for exactly the reason Schottenhiemer described : he'll tell Danny what he wants to hear .. And, I think just as importantly, through Vinny Dan gets to play Mr Football Man (as in scouting players), which if he got rid of Cerrato & hired a real GM would probably not be the case .. So our unholy front-pffice-of-the-damned just keeps rolling ..

I think this date is a small peak in the skins downer of a season, they are playing well and the backups Vinny brought in don't look preposterous.

After tomorrow, I expect this respite starting in the 2nd half of the Denver game, to disappear and the "Sell the Team" "Dan Must Go" chanters and poster makers to become more vocal. I expect that will cause Dan to fire Vinny.

For all the Marty Bashers...... At least he got his teams to the playoffs which seems so unlikely for the Skins because of the way the front office is structured.

Having won almost twice as many games as he's lost over a three decade coaching career CLEARLY makes him "the most overrated almost good coach in the history of the NFL. " as sanantonio redskin put it. Thank god his services were no longer needed after a .500 season.

Couldn't Howard Milstein just have said "no thanks" all those years ago?

I wouldn't hire Vinny to manage my daughter's lemonade stand, let alone blot the tears that come with the misery of watching my once proud franchise compete day in and day out. I wonder if coaching for the Redskins these days is like tip-toeing around an alcoholic father...you never know what words spur the belt.

I doubt Vinnie could assemble a team of grown-ups to compete at the church rec level, but by then he would have convinced the pastor he's the second coming of christ and fired all the volunteers for being over-enthusiastic.

Do you know what the difference is between Danny-boy, Vinny and Tiger Woods are? Tiger scre#%d only 10 women (that we have heard about) outside of his marriage. Danny and Vinny have sc#$wed hundreds of thousands without so much as a kiss. Free the Skins !!!!

How many more great football minds like Schottenheimer need to expose the kindergarten ninja (google it) for who he is before Snyder wakes up and hires someone who is (a) strong enough to deal with Snyder correctly and (b) actually knows something about the game of football (e.g. how to build a line over time through the draft)?

it's obvious you have a man crush on Campbell. I never said he was a starter for 5 years, you tailored my words to fuel your spazz. This is his 5th year in the league, he should have a better understanding of reading defenses and calling audibles than he does. Rothlesberger has been sacked more than any qb in the league over the past 5 years. The supporting cast argument is a joke, it's no secret our line has been garbage for a while, it's called adapting. Campbell dosent do it very well. Being ashamed to root for a team who's owner has no respect for his fans is absurd. I love the skins and always will but everything about this organization sucks right now and the fact that vinnys name is still mentioned let's us know nothing is going to change.

UNLEASH HELL if Vinny is not FIRED!!! That's all "the Danny" needs to do FIRE VINNY & HIRE A REAL GM!!!

Don't implode team, keep JC for sure, trade down for more draft picks for OL, RB, CB & S, and PLAY MARCO MITCHELL! It's a shame Vinny has kept this kid off of the field in order to not be embarrassed by a 7th round rookie showing up two of his 2nd round sophomores!

VINNY MUST GO NOW AND NOT BE ALLOWED TO CONTINUE HIS REIGN OF TERROR! If not, then I'm inclined to begin to believe in some of the theories out there that either Vinny has something on "the Danny", or Vinny has something IN "the Danny"!!!

Posted by: starpopper | December 13, 2009 7:15 PM | Report abuse

With the way that JC is playing down the home stretch why would he re-sign even if he was offered?

having said that, if JC isn't going to be here why not go with Colt Brennan? He has just as much chance of playing well as any QB coming straight out of college this year.

Marty at least tried to right the ship he was handed. I am scared that the last few weeks of good football and good effort means that we might still be stuck with vinny... and the mediocrity he brings.
Danny boy, please cut him loose -

hail to the skins

Marty was the most competitive coach since Snyder has owned the team. He whent 8 / 8 with a bunch of no-bodies and was rewarded by being fired. The biggest fools in Danville are us fans for sticking around and I'm too old to keep going with this. If Vinny's around next year, I'm outta' here.

Posted by: RealConservative | December 14, 2009 9:47 AM | Report abuse

Wow, what can you say? 3 wins over awful teams. Players held out of pre-season are injured. The team has a lot of holes and pay too high salaries for mediocrity. Yeah, the problem is front office(Dan and Vinny). How many years have they been together and what to show for it? Besides high ticket prices? It will only get worse. Part of the problem is that the rest of the NFC east has some very good young players, something the Redskins don't.
