Ben Olsen shovels out the practice field
Here's an early nomination for Ben Olsen as D.C. area assistant coach of the year. When he heard that head equipment manager David Brauzer was out on the team's practice fields, clearing the snow with a shovel, by his lonesome, Olsen apparently headed out to help. I mean, Jerry Gray would have taken that opportunity to interview for Brauzer's job, but Olsen put shovel to the ground and got a nice workout in.

How could you not have anything but respect for an AC shoveling snow off the practice pitch?

Maybe they should have asked to borrow the Redskins snow blower?

Ben Olsen was an extreamley good leader, very good midfielder, and overall a winner. It was sad to see him wrestled to retirement by his injuries( only 1 goal last year). Never the less he will always be respected for his class and his unrecagnizable drive to win.

That shot at Jerry Gray was brilliant. Just brilliant.
