David Gregory reps the Nats on Meet the Press
David Gregory has a personalized Nats jersey and describes himself as a fan, so it's no surprise when Nats talk shows up on Meet the Press. Still, any time a national host says "Go Nats!" on NBC, I'm going to have to mention it.
"Last year -- and I don't want to sound bitter -- but last year, President Obama sat out Opening Day, and the Nationals went on to lose 103 games," Gregory said on Easter morning. "What a difference a year makes. We hope. Go Nats!"
This latest D.C. sports nugget came just a couple days after Politico featured the best of Gregory's sports quips, seen below. The package includes an interview with Vice President Biden in which Gregory confessed that his son Max was rooting for the Russians in the Olympics because of the presence of Messrs. Ovechkin and Semin. "Generally speaking, I'm into D.C. teams," Gregory told Politico, and we thank him for that.
