Ryan Zimmerman's Geico commercials
Guess I've been out of it, or been watching too much Versus, because these Ryan Zimmerman Geico commercials are new to me.
I do remember reading about him filming the commercials this spring. MLB.com's Bill Ladson asked Zimmerman what it was like to work with the Caveman:
"He is really funny. He made it easy for us," Zimmerman said. "He looks a lot different up close than he does in the commercial. He looks like an ugly caveman."
Yeah, that's our Ryan. Between this and the didgeridoo, he's got quite the portfolio.
By the way, the national buzz about the Nationals is bubbling over. MLB Trade Rumors says they could be deadline buyers. Fox Sports's Dayn Perry writes that "The Washington Nationals are soon going to be a very good baseball team." And Buster Olney leads his Insider column with this bit of joy:
The Redskins are rebuilding, again, and the Wizards spent the winter dealing with a weapons issue. The Washington Capitals were knocked out of the playoffs, and the Orioles are on track to be eliminated sometime in late July or early August. The high ground is there for the Nationals to seize the sports conversation in Washington, and there are signs of progress.
Like these, among other things.
