The Nats and Shoe Shine Sunday
Exhibit A of how winning records can contribute to players having fun and highly bloggable moments: the Silver Elvis Wig.
Exhibit B: Shoe Shine Sunday.
"We've had a really fun time down there this year," Tyler Clippard said this week on Sirius XM's MLB Network Radio, when asked about the team's bullpen. "Miguel Batista started a little fun thing that we do every Sunday. It's called Shoe Shine Sunday. We shine everybody's shoes in the bullpen. So we just try to keep things light down there and have a lot of fun out there, and it's been good so far."
Above, see Sean Burnett shining teammates' shoes. Yes, this was from Sunday.
