Ovechkin on vacation

You know who likes to wear sunglasses upside down? My three-year old daughter, for one. In fact, that's the picture on my phone. She can't get enough of the upside-down sunglasses.

Also: Alex Ovechkin.

Ovechkin's vacation exploits, as translated at Alex Ovejtkin, are a must-read for sure. For example:

Taking off a wearisome clothes, and keeping only shorts and a red cap, the hockey player got indulged in a little human joys.

I've no doubt he did.

Incidentally, if you haven't been following Ovechkin's offseason, he also:

* Went to a "bloody spectacle" of a kick-boxing show, while wearing sandals.

* Attended a friend's wedding with his shirt unbuttoned nearly to his waist, where he presented his newly married friend with "impressive stacks of money."

* Starred in this amazing Reebok commercial.

I didn't think it was possible for me to have a bigger man crush on Ovie...until today. You know who loves pictures of his town's star 20 something athletes enjoying themselves and having fun the same way I did when I was 24/25? Me.

Meanwhile, somewhere in a basement in a suburban Pittsburgh community, Sidney Crosby keeps a low profile. His goal is to not chase skirts across the European and Asian continents. His goal is to win Stanley Cups. Multiple Stanley Cups. Once again, Crosby > Ovechkin.

Live it while you can Ovie because when you get back to America it's time to answer your critics by going a little deeper in the playoffs. He looks really wasted in the one pic let's hope all that Russian vodka has not completely muddled his brain or his quickness.

Ovie is awesome! Can you imagine all the p***y he's getting!! Have fun Ovie. We'll see you in September.

Meanwhile, somewhere in a bar in Chicago, Patrick Kane celebrates winning the Cup a summer after a cabbie fight and shirtless limo rides with young lasses. More than one way to win the Cup, methinks.

Pittsburgh is just bitter because they finally realized what a d-bag Crosby is.

If Ovy needs 2 chicks at the same time to get him the Cup - it's fine with me :)

Viva Ovy! Viva Washington! Screw Pittsburgh!!!!!

Meanwhile, pathetic loser Randy Hawkins figures out a new way to embarrass himself on the internet by bashing a young multimillionaire for enjoying himself on vacation after a tough long season. Don't talk about Sidney Crosby like you know him, jerk.

Are we to understand that Sydney doesn't like girls? That's fine if that is his inclination. Meanwhile the rumor is being heard more and more that OV is demanding that the Caps trade Laich due to his crushing hit on OV in the World Cup. If that is so, it is time to grow up OV. The Caps can ill afford to lose Laich.

Glad to see that Ovechkin is working hard to make sure 2010-2011 is better for himself and the Caps than 2009-2010 ended.

OMG LOL

I can't imagine anyone would actually believe anything so absurd. News flash, not everything you read on the internet message boards are true. Shocker I know.

This photo made me laugh and cringe at the same time. What IS that crazy thing on his head? And no, I am not talking about the two brunettes!

I am glad he is enjoying vacation. And I am glad that my every vacation exploit is not blasted around the world for everyone to see and criticize. Sheesh. Lighten up, people.

Live it up Alex b/c the world now sees you as a choke-artist in the playoffs and sooner or later you have to actually perform come playoff time

Wow...I love how some people expect OV to sit and contemplate the meaning of hockey for the entire summer instead of take a well earned vacation and relax a bit.

We lost people...eventually we and the players have to move on...it will do no good to wallow in pity and sorrow. Go have some fun OV! Enjoy your summer and we will see you next season.

And where did we hear a rumor he wanted Laich traded...cause that does not sound like OV...he loves being hit...it pumps him up.

Lets also not pretend like most famous young athletes don't do this on a regular basis...It is very possible that Crysby is more mature (ok probable) than OV....who cares...and he had a perfectly good playoffs and its not his fault some other players didn't show up...leave the guy alone. He may kill himself at a very young age in a drunken yacht accident or a high speed sports car accident. If that day comes it will suck but he is a great player, he treats his fans well, and he works hard...players are human and we can't expect them to be perfect...he is what he is...love him or hate him for it...but he is one hell of a hockey player.

==================================

Normally I would have agreed with this assessment, especially after the 1st round choke. But after looking at the pictures and all the girls, I have concluded that Crosby is definitely gay.

foos: While Kane has had his issues, he's not as important to that team as Ovechkin is to the Caps. Toews, Sharp, Byfuglien, Keith, Seabrook...all as equally important as Kane. One renegade on a team of young superstars isn't going to cripple them. Ovechkin is way more important to this team, and if he's more interested in chasing skirts, then that spells doom for the Caps.

What would you do if you had a million dollars?
I'll tell ya what I'd do man, two chicks at the same time, man
