Pete Rose at Strasburg-Reds game

Hey look, it's Pete Rose, in the third row of Wednesday night's Nats-Reds game. With the ugliest Cincinnati Reds hat the world has ever seen. And some sunglasses. Everyone wants to see Stephen Strasburg in person.
I don't know about you, but all I could watch after every pitch was Pete Rose, just to see how he reacted, and whether he was still wearing the hat.
And true story that can be verified by at least two other witnesses: Rose was at my gate at the Las Vegas airport late Saturday night, wearing this identical hat. I was convinced he was going to be on the flight back to D.C. with me, Ernie Grunfeld and the rest of the Wizards staffers, but he wound up going to a flight at a different gate. Maybe he was going to Cincinnati.
Anyhow, there's Pete Rose, watching the Nats.
(Here's an even better TV photo.)

Can't Pete afford a better cap?

Rose must have won a bet with some black dude who had nothing to wager other than his hat. I wonder what Pete put up?

I thought Pete Rose had a lifetime ban from the game and wasn't allowed to show up at any stadium. Has that changed? If so when and how?

Pete was probably thinking that even he would have a hard time hitting #37!

Aside from issues of life and death circumstances, Pete Rose's ban from the Hall of Fame is one of the greatest injustices of my lifetime. It's simply hard to comprehend. I still have dozens of his baseball cards from over the years. Never could get my hands on his rookie.

@ Barno1
get over it ... "character" counts, POS's like Ty Cobb notwithstanding, and Pete Rose proved that he lacks character, wallows in denial, and thus he is rightly where he should be ... outside the game, looking in like a two-bit shill.
Maybe one day he'll admit to his failings and then we can reconsider... til then, he's stuck with his blow-up bimbo and Howard Stern.
