Washington's "BroncoBusters" music video
I've been trafficking in Redskins nostalgia pretty much non-stop since the team's alumni day. Heck, I've got Redskins history books in my backpack. Might as well go the whole way and start embedding random WRC Redskins music videos from two decades ago.
Obviously there's no reason to be doing this today, other than it's July and I'm bored and these are awesome. Apparently WRC used to regularly produce weekly musical tributes to the Skins. They're irony-free, which makes them especially wondrous. This guy on YouTube has uploaded a whole mess of them -- and a whole mess of other vintage Redskins clips which could easily keep you occupied for an entire day. The interviews with Daniel Snyder from the week he bought the team are captivating.
But I'll focus on WRC's music videos previewing the last two Super Bowl wins. Above is "BroncoBusters," featuring little cameos from rhythm-deprived Dexter Manley and Charles Mann about halfway through. If you've never heard "Hail to the Redskins" sampled into the GhostBusters theme, you'll want to watch. Also, if you have a heart beat.
The 1991 version isn't quite as great, plus there are shots at Buffalo, so I'll leave that one out and merely encourage you to watch it on your own time.
Then there's this Diet Coke commercial, starring Charles Mann and Dave Butz. Man, it's all good.
