Gilbert "Zero" jerseys on sale
Now that Gilbert Arenas is no longer No. 0, there is apparently a glut of old Agent Zero merchandise that needs to be moved. And since he isn't necessarily the most popular athlete in the city at this point, it needs to be moved for cheap.
The Wizards' online store -- which isn't technically run by the team -- has a sale on all its Gilbert jerseys, which of course were pulled from the store during much of Gilbert's recent troubles. No. 0 jerseys are being offered for anything from 10 to 18 percent off the listed price, depending on the make and model.
Seems like a great deal, until you notice that the Caron Butler and Antawn Jamison stuff is all 50 percent off. Those jerseys are no more incorrect than Gilbert's No. 0 is.
(The John Wall stuff, needless to say, is listed at full price.)
(Also, you can get a Colt Brennan jersey for 20 bucks, if you want.)
And in less trivial news, as you can see above, the team is actually featuring Gilbert's image in some of its online reports. Slowly creeping back to normalishcy.

Oh. I thought they were talking about the Cavs owner who thinks he owns his players and goes apeshat when one goes south, Simon Le Gilbert.

Meh. You'll be writing about Gil's Redemption by Valentine's Day.
I do find it ironic that many of the same people who want to run Gil out of town want to go after Carmelo Anthony is free agency. Melo's rap sheet is way longer than Gil's.

The Wizards Old style round neck jerseys are lame. Miami contured neck jerseys are much nice, more comfortable and make a better style statememnt, especially the Red ones with Miami (instead of the white; Heat).
Ernie, I'd be happy to design new jerseys and colors for the Zards. Some Blue and White with a hint of Red. Jerseys cost too much to have a lame style, no matter whos name and number is on the back.
