Terps tweak their basketball uniforms

Well, if I'm going to write about the extremely minute changes to the Wizards basketball jerseys, might as well write about the extremely minute changes to the Terps basketball jerseys. Terrapin Trail wrote about this last week, noting that "the major difference appears to be a turtle-shell pattern on the jersey's side panels."
This new image (on the left) comes from the team's new promotional video, and there seem to be some changes going on in the collar region, both in shape and coloring. The red up the side also seems to cut off far earlier. Anyhow who knows more about turtle-shell patterns, feel free to speak up.

I'd much more prefer they tweak whatever they need to tweak to make runs deeper into the NCAA tournament.

Well, to be the best, you gotta beat the best.
You're not gonna have 3,4,5 games against mediocre teams in the tourney.
But nice excuse nonetheless.

Yeah, what teams do you think the Terps will play when/if they ever get deep in the NCAA's again?
Powerhouse teams like Mich St in the Elite-8, Final 4, etc. or do you seriously think teams like Dayton or Creighton will make it that far.
You say UMD needs to avoid Mich St but why? You think they're better than us and the Terps can't beat them?

Lets give Barno the benefit of the doubt here. I think he was being sarcastic, just pointing out the freak nature of always getting matched up with MSU.

Thanks for the benefit of the doubt Jpferps. Poops, of course we'll play good teams in the final four and elite 8, like we did in 01 and 02. But we went up against Mich St in the round of 32 this year...that was just bad luck.

Ah, that darned "bad luck."
Well shouldn't/don't great teams make their own luck?
