CSN and Fox 5 stars doing karaoke
It's certainly possible that I'm way more interested in seeing my sports media friends perform karaoke than you are, but this is my blog, and my daughter's preschool is closed so I need easy posts, and so this is dang sure going up. It's from Mike Wise's Charityoke event Wednesday night, the sort of event where my writing becomes a heck of a lot less legible as the night progresses.
There were something like 17 performers. I have extensive notes and photographic evidence, plus video of LaVar Arrington singing "Sweet Caroline," but that'll have to wait 'til later. For now, here's video of the three Comcast SportsNet stars: Kelli Johnson doing "Shoop," Russ Thaler rocking Iron Maiden's "Run to the Hills," and Michael Jenkins bringing the house down with "Nuthin' but a 'G' Thang." Below, please find Fox 5's Dave Feldman, Sue Palka and Lindsay Murphy rapping to Kurtis Blow's "Basketball."
Jenkins, I should note, is a total master of the genre, right down to distinctive voices and styles for Dre and Snoop and what I'm assuming was some Hennessy in his left hand as a prop. It might not convey from bleeped Web video, but trust me, he slayed, and was awarded first place.
He was followed by Chris Wilson and Kedric Golston on a Wilson original, and Lindsay Czarniak, Jim Vance and NBC friends doing Hank Williams's "Family Tradition," complete with cowboy/cowgirl costumes. Stay tuned for possibly 10,000 more words about this, if I can get it together.

Dan,
Thanks for the post Dan!
You HAVE to put up the video of Rom doing his shtick, especially the first one with Cakes...that was hilarious.

First Rule of the Bog: You never have to apologize for a post mentioning Kelli Johnson.

If that's the first rule of the Bog, the second rule should be that if Lindsay Czarniak is mentioned in a post, said mention should be followed with obligatory video. If no video is available, still photos will suffice.
